Technical Evangelist, Storage Responsible for the coordination of internal Windows storage support and directions, and alignment of that support with external industry partners and initiatives, in enterprise and consumer platforms. Coordination of Microsoft's initial directions on iSCSI, Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), and internal support for Fibre Channel and RAID controllers. Successes include WinHEC 2000 and 2001 content, industry participants and Microsoft Storage Roadmap presentation, and finalization of Microsofts contribution in the CD-MRW (Mt. Rainer) specification. Re-established Microsofts presence in the ANSI INCITS T10, T11, and T13 organizations.

Senior Manager, Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality (WHQL) Test Managed senior-level WHQL engineers who managed mid- to junior-level staff responsible for certification of all Domestic Japanese and Asian computer products for NEC Corporation. Built staff from one to seven employees in 10 months, and implemented new test processes that eliminated redundant and recursive test errors. Directed Japanese counterparts in improvement of WHQL test applications, implemented process for improved test tracking, and coordinated support of corporate staff in beta testing Microsoft product, developing quick changes for product acceptance, and guiding Microsoft development teams to resolve NEC reported bugs. Responsible for management of over 60 employees, entire facility, during abrupt management changes in July 1998.

Director of Systems Test and Integration Formed a staff of senior and mid-level systems test engineers and managers for the verification of product specifications and new product design verification testing, which grew from four to twelve engineers. Managed development of first corporate bug-tracking system for process improvement, across functional areas, driving faster engineering response to bug resolution or new feature implementation. Managed corporate cross-functional Quality Team, to resolve known product, process and manufacturing issues, implementation of corrective action plans and reporting of resolution to executive staff. Acted as project manager on two crucial SDI products, RAIDPro and DGR for RAIDPro, from inception to product release, including hardware and software segments.

Customer Design Engineering Manager Directed a staff of software and hardware engineers in the diagnosis of OEM and Strategic Customer issues through to resolution in the ESW business unit. Managed new lab creation, with capital expenditures, within projected budget. Mentored new Customer Design Engineers for their career and technical growth by providing technical understanding of PC design, software design, version tracking, and project delivery guidelines.

Senior Applications Engineer Directed Adaptec's Plug and Play strategy for non-PCI products, most notably in the development of the SCSI SCAM interface, as Adaptecs T10 representative. Developed and delivered many FAE and Technical Support training seminars on Adaptec's newest products. Participation and direction in the ANSI SCSI Committee, Small Form Factor Committee, and the Plug and Play Association.

PBT Corporation, Sunnyvale, CA. (Out of Business)

Associate Engineer Designed the SCSI Gateway product, an ISA based slave DMA / PIO board for transferring information from PBT's proprietary SCSI to Pertec tape controller. Wrote full controlling software for the SCSI Gateway, in C, including SCSI command delivery system, DMA buffer management and user interface. Created all PBT User and Engineering technical manuals. Produced and delivered Engineering and Technician based training.
