Supervision of the whole Air Force Basic Research Program on Non-Metallic Structural Materials, including Glass and Ceramics. Supervision of about 50 professors around the Nation, many of whom are members of the National Academy of Science and Engineering, and 10 work in the area of Fracture Mechanics of glass, ceramics, and composites.
