Short Biography:
Qualifications EW #230 has a BS in Criminal Justice, and an MS in Criminal Justice and Education. He obtained his MS with a perfect 4.0 grade average, and was invited to join the Phi Kappa Phi honorary society. He has over 20 years police experience, rising through the ranks at the Flagstaff Police Department, where he retired as a lieutenant in 1994. He developed two three year automation plans, and led their implementation, to take the department from a state of virtually no automation, to complete records management, CAD, laptops, mobile data, etc. He received the Flagstaff Police Department's award for 'Meritorious Service', one of less than a dozen officers to ever receive this award.
EW #230 has extensive experience in management issues, including sexual harassment policy development and enforcement. He can provide consulting and expert testimony on such matters.
EW #230 has specialized in traffic accident reconstruction since attending the Arizona State University College of Engineering in 1978, where he was salutatorian of his class. Since then he has received extensive training, including courses from Dynamic Sciences Crash Research Laboratory and the Northwestern Traffic Institute.
EW #230 has extensive loss control (risk management) experience for insurance, business, and government. He was a charter and founding member of the Northern Arizona Chapter of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security), and under his leadership as chairman, the chapter was awarded the national I.B. Hale award for 'Chapter of the Year'.
