Responsibilities have encompassed preparation and management of engineering services, marketing and sales functions, customer relations, quality control, environmental management, operating and maintenance management, development of various modes of transportation services to and from intermodal transfer terminals,  and various other aspects of material handling services. Directly responsible for the negotiation and construction of 14 material handling facilities from concept to completion, along with the identification and negotiation of several large transfer and storage terminal acquisitions.

Experience includes the following:
*Conceptual design and feasibility studies of potential facilities
*Preparing detailed estimates of project cost, operating and maintenance cost, financing costs, and profit to determine rates for various types of material handling services
*Managing a staff of engineers and providing detailed engineering studies and analyses
*Providing project management, along with managing a staff of project engineers and managers
*Managing multiple bulk material facilities, barge cleaning and repair facilities, vessel and barge fleet, maintenance facilities and staff, etc.
*Negotiating and writing long term contracts for material handling services
*Developing and negotiating various financial arrangements for new facilities
*Managing environmental staff and monitoring procedures for the transfer, storage, and transportation of various products at multiple terminals
*Analyzing and developing the transportation facilities to and from intermodal terminals
*Providing litigation support as an expert witness in cases involving material handling services
