Short Biography:
In 1998 I was contacted by the Agent in Charge of the United States Secret Service West Tennessee District to attend their training academy for the purpose of becoming a Document Examiner. This came about as part of my Investigations for the Bartlett Police Department in Fraud related crimes. I was chosen to represent the Secret Service for the Southeastern area in Handwritings. Since completion of the Academy I was an intern for one year following this school studying under another handwriting expert. I now teach classes to the public and other Police Agency’s in Fraud and ID Theft matters. The Attorney General here in Shelby County Tennessee put on a seminar this year addressing the growing concerns of ID Theft and I was the guest speaker. I am a certified instructor for the State of Tennessee.
I have been a Police Officer for 26 years for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Bartlett Police Department of which I am now a Captain there. I graduated the Sheriff’s Academy in 1977 but joined the Bartlett Police Department in 1984. In 1984 I was nominated as Rookie of the Year. In 1988 and 1991 I was nominated as Officer of the Year. I am a senior member of the M.A.F.I.A. Origination (Memphis Area Fraud Investigators Association). I am a member in good standing for The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Academy of Document Examiners. I have attended many courses in the Fraud related field over the years
The 9/11 Disaster in New York I was called upon by the FBI and Secret Service to examine handwritings. Since then I have examined handwritings across the US for many reasons. I do this both through the Police Department and also myself on a private venture. I have examined handwritings from napkins to bridge overpasses. I have testified in several court systems as an expert in the field.
I feel I am very qualified in the art of Handwriting Analysis and render opinions many times a day.
