This expert provides expert witness services related to Standard of Care issues in health and human service agencies. In most situations he is asked to offer opinions about the propriety of an interaction between and employee or employees and a customer related to Standard of Care or applicable external state and federal regulations. In addition, compliance with internal policies and procedures is usually a consideration.

Over 30 years of experience in health and human services work allows him to offer quality opinions efficiently. His education, training and experience in quality assurance, performance management and compliance-related issues form the foundation for his practice. Currently, he is the administrator of a hospital, which includes a long-term care unit, provides professional supervision over a Medicaid-certified nursing home, manages a community mental retardation program and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in management at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

His casework has included personal injury, wrongful death and compensation disputes related to medical centers, nursing homes, mental retardation, developmental disabilities, juvenile treatment facilities, private psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers and special education. Additionally, he has testified in court once, provided deposition testimony eight times, spends approximately 10 percent of his professional time doing expert witness work and is retained 70 percent of the time.
