Appointed by Governor - State of Florida - as Commissioner on Long Term Care and at another time to the Board of Nursing Home Administrators for over six years, becoming its Chairman. Both appointments resulted in the promulgation of new rules which govern long term care administrators. Worked with the legislators on passage of bills promoting quality care and quality of life issues. Currently the Chairman of the Long Term Care Task Force - Miami - Dade County. Additionally was appointed to the Florida Bar's Commission on the Elderly. Former Board Member of South Florida Hospital Association and Chair of its Long Term Care Task Force.
