EW #241 CCS, CFI, President, is our master chimney technician. He is a Certified Chimney Sweep by the Chimney Safety Institute of America, a Certified Dryer Vent Technician, a State Certified Fire Investigator, HEARTH Certified Venting Specialist, and an SPPI Certified Home Inspector. Gene has 19 years experience with chimney restoration. He has a degree in HVAC, welding certificates, and additional certificates in the industry. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Midwest Chimney Safety Council and served on the board for the Society of Professional Property Inspectors. Gene's primary duties are fire investigations, trouble-shooting, carbon monoxide and pressure testing, chimney and fireplace design, and difficult jobs.

Fire Investigations
Are an important part of our business. We use the state-of-the-art Chim-Scan Camera system to view the interior of chimneys. This allows us to see around offsets and into long flues (no other method works). You may watch the video screen while we work, and if any problems are found we can take still photos of them.

Real Estate Inspections
We will evaluate any chimneys and flues at the residence, including any appliances and give you a written report of the condition. If any repairs are necessary, you will receive a separate estimate.

Insurance Evaluations
When a chimney is damaged by lightning, tornado, flue fire, or other cause we can do a thorough evaluation and provide a written report with photos.

Fire Investigations
We do investigations for fires in and around chimneys. Since Gene is a State Certified Fire Investigator, he is trained to find the origin and cause of fire. We will provide a written report of our findings with photos. Many forensics investigators, fire marshals, and insurance companies put their trust in us when they believe a chimney is involved in fire damage.
