Short Biography:
EW #9214 is an Information Security Specialist for an information security consultancy company. He is a member of a Computer Incident Response and Investigation Team (“CIRI Team”). In this position he performs computer/electronic-based forensic investigations, provides litigation support, expert reports and declarations and can serve as an expert witness.
Concurrently, EW #9214 has spent 23 years in law enforcement and is at present a Sergeant at a California Police Department where he provides special services. His activities with the Police Department include field support, consulting for Computer crimes, digital forensic evidence collection, served as an instructor of tactical training and constitutional law at the Police Academy, and expert testimony in hundreds of criminal cases ranging from child pornography to white-collar crimes.
Of note, he was awarded a prestigious “Letter of Commendation” from the Chief of Police of California for bringing online the first Digital fingerprinting system in Los Angeles County in 1994.
In addition to the responsibilities delineated above, he also serves as MIS Director for a manufacturing company in CA. and continues to provide computer investigative services through a company he founded in 1982.
In addition to receiving a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, he carries the following certifications: Certified Network Engineer (CNE) Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Certified Electronic Publishing Consultant (CEPC), Intel Product Developer (IPD), and Certified Network Security Expert (CNSE).
