Experience
1994 -present Principal Investigator - Consulting engineer to private firms and corporations. Failure analysis, corrosion, wear and erosion issues, materials selection, engineering ceramics, inspections, training and regulatory reviews related to plant operation.

2000 -2003 Caldus Semiconductor – Principal Investigator Research and Development of high temperature materials and processes for silicon carbide based microelectronics.

2000-2001 Post Doctoral Position Study of extreme service and high temperature materials. Designed and built ultra high vacuum high temperature test chamber.

1981-1996 Washington Public Power Supply System - Principal Metallurgical Engineer on the construction, operation and maintenance of three nuclear power stations.

1980-1981 Exxon Nuclear at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory - Senior Research Engineer for reprocessing nuclear fuel at the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant. Developed specialized chemical decontamination and cleaning processes for plant processing equipment.

1977-1980 Westinghouse (HEDL) - Senior Research Scientist to study and develop new technologies for disposal of reactor core materials and spent nuclear fuel.

1976-1977 Westinghouse (WHO) - Associate Scientist to the advanced mixed oxide nuclear fuel development program as part of the National Breeder Reactor Program.

· Awarded Research Grant from the Washington Technology Center, University of Washington, to study package technology for extreme service applications, June 2001. The grant is used to fund two graduate students at Washington State University
· Awarded the "EPRI Innovators in Technology" award for work with Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion. Received the 1995, Electric Power Research Institute.
· Awarded the "Engineer of the Year" award by the Inland Empire Section of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers for work in the formation of the Southeast Washington Underground Corrosion Coordinating Council, 1986.
· Awarded "1979 Distinguished Research Engineer" by Westinghouse Advanced Energy Systems Division for Project Management work on the nation's first demonstrated disposal of spent commercial nuclear fuel at the Nevada Test Site.
