EW #925 retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as Deputy Chief, Chief of Detectives, after a thirty-four year law enforcement career.

Heis a lecturer and have been recognized as an authority on law enforcement & security related issues. He has presented seminars to several thousand officers on; Officer Use of Force, Investigating Officer Involved Use of Force Incidents, Administrative Review of Use of Force Incidents, and Officer/Department Libility Issues.

Hehas personally supervised the investigation of over 100 officer involved deadly force incidents as Commander of the Internal Affairs Bureau and later as Deputy Chief, Chief of Detectives. In the last twelve years of his career he chaired LVMPD's Shooting Review Board and Use of Force Administrative Review Board.

EW #925 is twice chairperson and 12 year board member of the Peace Officers Standards and Training Committee. For more 30 years he instructed local, state and federal law enforcement officers in basic and in-service training the following topics: Defensive Tactics, Weaponless Defense, Street Survival & SWAT Tactics, Homicide Investigation, Investigative Procedures, Elements of Supervision, Executive Development, plus other related topics. He has taught at the local college and university as an adjunct facility member for 23 years in the Criminal Justice/Administration of Justice programs.

During his career headvanced through the ranks, by competitive exams, from patrolman to Deputy Chief of Police. During his law enforcement career, he has served in the majority of key assignments in the profession: Patrol, SWAT, Academy, Homicide, Detention Commander, Officer in Charge of Internal Affairs and Detective Bureau Commander. The last 12 years of his career, he served as division chief of the Investigative Services Division responsibible for the Detective, Vice & Narcotics, Organized Crime/Criminal Intelligence Bureaus and the Secret Witness office.

Upon his retirement from the LVMPD in January 1995, heestablished & Associates International Litigation Consultants. Heis retained as an Expert Witness and Litigation Consultant for the defense and plaintiff cases. Hecontinues to instructs liability related seminars for law enforcement and private security.
