Mr. Calpin's career has included both surplus lines and standard lines commercial insurance, policy drafting, as well as underwriting, MGA and brokerage agreements, underwriting authorities, insurance business practices and, as a former Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary of an important and long established surplus lines insurance company, Mr. Calpin is qualified to speak authoritatively on corporate management and governance.

Mr. Calpin has lengthy experience, not only with primary insurance, but also all forms of excess including umbrellas. He assisted in the original development of the personal umbrella and the maturization of the commercial umbrella form. Mr. Calpin has extensive knowledge of reinsurance, both treaty and facultative, having worked 7 years for one of the leading reinsurance intermediaries in the United States, as well as having negotiated the placement and wording of reinsurance coverages for his own companies over many years.

Mr. Calpin is prepared to offer expert witness and litigation support on a nationwide basis and is prepared to travel as required. Mr. Calpin is also prepared to offer reports and do research on numerous insurance topics in addition to giving depositions and appearing as a witness at trials.
