Experienced Consultant Cardiologist at a large University teaching Hospital of over 1150 beds that serves a population of about 320,000. I treat patients with heart disease covering a wide range of cardiovascular disorders such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, hypertension, angina and cardiac rhythm disorders. My role involves the care of both acute emergency admissions and outpatient follow up of patients with a variety of general medical conditions as well as cardiology. I also run an 8 bedded coronary care unit.

I see up to 20 new referrals in my out patient clinics each week, these comprise patients with a wide spectrum of heart disease or suspected heart disease.

Special interests in coronary artery disease, angina management, heart failure and echocardiography including research.

I am also fully trained as an invasive cardiologist and in cardiac pacing. I perform a regular weekly session for cardiac catheterisation.

Medico-legal Experience:
I have been producing medico-legal reports as an expert witness in Cardiology with a current ratio of 1/3 claimant, 1/3 defendent and 1/3 joint reports. Have undergone formal training in Basic Law, Report Writing and Courtrooom Skills. Work includes negligence, personal injury, disability assessment, employment law, ability to drive and prognostic assessments.

I am a member of Expert Witness Institute and the Society of Expert Witnesses and keep up to date with new developments in the field and attend conferences and workshops.
