(VIII) Hellenic American Psychiatric Association (HAPA)
1998-1999, Chaired the HAPA Organizing Committee. The founding of HAPA occurred in association with the APA Annual meeting on 5/15/99.

1999-2002, Founding President HAPA, Membership in HAPA is open to psychiatrists of Greek origin or who are identified with the Hellenic heritage, who are members of APA, American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, the Hellenic Psychiatric Association or other comparable psychiatric associations in countries other than the US or Canada.

Since 1990, Founder and President of the non-profit (SCPS sponsored) Psychiatric Education and Research Foundation (PER), dedicated to building bridges of understanding between psychiatry and the public through education, research and community action.
