This expert (MD, FACS, MBA) specialists in urologic health, men's health, sexual health for men and women, fertility, neurogenic bladder, incontinence, urologic cancers, renal transplantation, and male health screening.

He graduated with honors from the University of Arizona, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his medical degree with honors from Baylor College of Medicine and received the Frank Coleman Hamm Award for Excellence in Urology. He completed post-graduate training as a resident in surgery and in urology at the University of California, San Diego, where he served as s chief resident in urological surgery during the 1972-73 academic year. Also, he served as an honorary clinical fellow in urology at the Middlesex Hospital and Medical School, London, England.

He has an extensive background in academic urology; having served as an instructor, assistant clinical professor, and associate clinical professor in surgery/urology at the University of California, San Diego, and an instructor in urology at Tulane University. In addition, he holds a masters degree in business administration from San Diego State University.

Additionally, he is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served as Chief of Urology at the Air Force Regional Medical Center, Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS from 1973-75.

He is active in many professional organizations. He is past president of the San Diego Urological Society and past president of the San Diego Society for Sex Therapy and Education. He is a founding board member of the California Urological Association, and is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the San Diego Hospice and the Medical Advisory Board of Planned Parenthood of San Diego County. He has numerous presentations and publications to his credit and continues to be active in innovative urologic research.

He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
