EW #827 is a nationally recognized expert in many areas related to his specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has published dozens of scientific papers and textbook chapters and has lectured on four continents. He edited two textbooks. He was in private practice for 18 years. He has held academic appointments at two universities and has served as an examiner for his specialty board.

He has offered medico-legal consultation for almost two decades and is experienced in depositions, arbitration hearings, and court appearances.

Born in New York City and raised in the Bronx, he was educated on Long Island at Sacred Heart Seminary, La Salle Military Academy and Hofstra University. At Hofstra, he received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biology. This education was put to use as a Lab Technician at The Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA before he returned to higher education. He completed predoctoral studies at Tufts University in Boston and was awarded the DMD degree. Specialty training took place at the world renowned Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He then entered private practice and was board certified shortly thereafter. While in practice, he directed an academic facial pain clinic and was prominent in state and national professional organizations. For several years, he was a full time professor for a university advanced training program with emphasis on severe maxillofacial trauma and reconstructive surgery.
