As a disability claims consultant and expert witness this expert has more than 35 years experience in the disability insurance arena.

He has served as a contributing writer to Physician's Management, Dental Economics, Dental Management, Case & Comment, The Practical Lawyer, The D.O., The Southern Journal of Optometry, The Florida Architect, Veterinary Economics, International Association of Financial Planning Journal, Life Association News, Life Insurance Selling, the National Health Insurance Underwriter, FAHU Focus and Brokers World.

He represented many insurance carriers marketing individual and group disability insurance protection including but not limited to UNUM Life, Provident Life and Accident, Paul Revere Life, Monarch Life, Massachusetts Casualty and Maccabees Mutual. He previously helped a major disability insurance carrier design their portfolio of individual disability products. Gerry was responsible for producing more than $10 Million of disability insurance premium income during his former sales career and helped underwrite more than 4,400 policies.

A national speaker on disability insurance topics, Gerry has spoken at several annual National Association of Heath Underwriters conventions, Disability Insurance Training council seminars and has conducted continuing education seminars in California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas. Gerry is a former qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table and for many years, was a consistent qualifier for the National Quality Award, National Sales Achievement Award and Health Insurance Quality Award. He is a life member of the NAHU Leading Producers Round Table.

He has served the National Association of Health Underwriters as a Regional Vice President and NAHU 2nd Vice President. He is a Past-President of NAHU's Leading Producers Round Table (LPRT), Past-President of the Disability Insurance Training Council (DITC) and served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association and Dade Association of Health Underwriters. He is a Past-President and Co-Founder of the Gold Coast Association of Health Underwriters and served on the RHU/REBC Commission, as the Region III Commissioner.

For several years, he has been a moderator for the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTC) Disability Income Insurance Course and since 1986 he has conducted over 60 Continuing Education courses in the State of Florida. In 1986, Gerry received the first Stanley Greenspun Health Person of the Year Award presented by the Gold Coast Association of Health Underwriters.

He is a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), a member of the International Association of Financial Planners, is listed in Who's Who in Insurance and in 1995 received his Associate Life Health Claims designation (with distinction). Gerry Was awarded status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners in 1997. In June 1997, Gerry received the Harold R. Gordon Memorial Award, as the "Health Insurance Industry Person of the Year," recognized as the most meaningful and significant individual honor accorded by the health insurance industry, presented by the National Association of Health Underwriters. The NAHU presented Gerry with the William G. Wetzel Excellence in Speaking Award in 2002.

As a disability insurance claims consultant and expert witness Gerry's primary responsibility is helping disabled professionals, business owners and executives understand the true complexity of their claims process and helping them secure disability income insurance benefits.

He approaches these responsibilities with the same passion he has for his two favorite pastimes, fishing and photography.
