EW #1254 has specialized in accessibility planning and universal design for over 25 years. They have assisted large property owners in developing universal design standards and review protocols that ensure compliance with the ADA and respond to a diverse public’s requirements. Wehave conducted access audits of hundreds of buildings and developed 504 and ADA compliance plans for innumerable clients in the private and public sectors. They are currently consulting on ADA compliance and universal design in health care, transportation, education, and commercial settings. They are leaders in the field of accessibility and universal design, and have developed ADA training materials for the US Department of Justice, led the first negotiated rulemaking process to yield accessible design standards, conducted best practice studies for accessible airports, ferries, and docks, and developed accessible design guidelines for Logan International Airport.

EXPERIENCE He brings expertise in architectural accessibility, industrial design, and social gerontology to his oversight of Universal Design and ADA compliance planning projects for university, corporate, and public sector clients. He has managed precedent-setting research on access to water transportation as well as emergency preparedness and evacuation of people with disabilities from rapid transit systems.
